Automatic Water Pump Controller for Reservoir and Overhead Tanks
Smart Water Level Management – Save Water, Save Electricity
Instead of manually operating your water pump every day, let our Automatic Water Pump Controller do it for you. It’s compatible with any single-phase water pump and uses float switches to continuously monitor the water levels in both the reservoir (underground tank) and the overhead tank.
As a result, the controller ensures your tank is always filled when needed, and your pump is protected from dry running.
✅ Key Features
✔ Automatic Water Level Monitoring:
This system uses electrical float switches to detect when the overhead tank is low and the reservoir has water. It then starts the pump automatically.
✔ Automatic Pump Operation:
-
The pump turns ON when the overhead tank reaches the minimum level and the reservoir contains enough water.
-
It turns OFF once the overhead tank is full or the reservoir runs dry.
✔ Auto & Manual Modes:
With the flick of a switch, you can change between Auto mode (fully automatic) and Manual mode (user-controlled pump operation).
✔ Adjustable Float Settings:
You can easily customize your preferred water levels using the adjustment weights on each float switch.
✔ Weather-Resistant Build:
The controller is made from durable materials, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor installations.
✔ LED Indicators:
Stay informed at a glance.
-
Power Indicator – confirms controller is powered
-
Motor Indicator – shows when the pump is running
✔ Energy Efficiency:
The system only runs the pump when necessary, helping you save electricity and water.
✔ Multiple Tank Support:
Ideal for setups that include both a reservoir and an overhead tank.
✔ Wide Float Compatibility:
Works with all standard electrical float switches, making it easy to replace or upgrade.

🔄 Operating Logic
Auto Mode:
-
The controller checks if the overhead tank needs water and if the reservoir has water.
-
If both conditions are met, the pump turns ON.
-
The pump stops when the overhead tank is full or the reservoir becomes empty.
Manual Mode:
-
Use this mode when you want the pump to run continuously, regardless of float status.
-
Just switch it ON manually and turn it OFF when done.
🔧 Maintenance Tips
To ensure long-lasting performance:
-
Clean float switches regularly to remove debris.
-
Inspect wiring connections for corrosion or looseness.
-
Test the float switches manually every few months.
🚨 Troubleshooting Guide
Issue | Possible Cause | Suggested Solution |
---|---|---|
Pump starts/stops too often | Leaks or incorrect float settings | Adjust float; check for leaks |
Pump doesn’t start | Power issue or float not aligned | Check wiring and float position |
Pump won’t stop | Float switch malfunction | Inspect and replace float if needed |
